Revelstoke search and rescue is proud to host raftex 2026, May 29-31 at Williamson Lake Campground

We cannot wait to welcome you, your family, and your SAR friends to our backyard. All on-river training will be for ticketed swiftwater members only as per the EMCR SOGs, but with many activities and amenities to explore at the campground and in Revelstoke in general, we know your families will have a great time while we train and build our community of unassuming rescue heroes. 

As with past Raftex, there will be catered breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday, and dinner on Saturday night. Expect fun. T shirts will also be on scene. A $50 per person fee covers the catered meals and your T shirt. Camping for members and families is free but requires registration which can be completed below or HERE. 

Task registration and introductions will be Friday evening May 29th. Training and river days will be Saturday May 30th and Sunday May 31st. Full schedule will be posted here closer to the date.

All members coming to train must supply their own PPE. If you are bringing your own boats (if you have them) then let us know by emailing us at raftex@revsar.ca.  There will be lots of boats for folks to join in on. The more boats, the more time on the oars. If you are trailering you boat(s) and are able to assist in shuttling members to and from the river let us know. There are unknowns to the logistics of getting everyone around on the river but if we all work together we will have a great time paddling.

Raftex Update – May 12, 2026

• 17 days away and almost 80 people registered from 12 different teams across BC. We have collected amazing prizes from epic sponsors, booked all the food and are fine tuning the weekend program.

Weekend Fees:

• If you have registered and not yet transferred your $50/person, please do so this week to raftex@revsar.ca

What to Bring:

• Camping gear – if you don’t plan on camping and have made other arrangements, please let us know at raftex@revsar.ca We will release sites back to the campground that are not used. 

• Boats – if you are bringing boats, please email the deets (number, type, frame, etc) to raftex@revsar.ca

• Cutlery – in an effort to be eco friendly and cut unnecessary costs, please bring your own coffee cup, beer cup, bowl, plate, utensils.
